WELCOME TO NEW YORK
Marketing Director
-
JFK International Airport's Terminal 4 is a central gateway in NYC servicing over 21 millions global travelers.
-
The core objective was to amplify T4’s position as New York City’s preferred airport terminal.
The initiative’s goal was to deepen the hub's community roots by connecting international travelers with local small business owners, bridging the terminal experience directly to NYC's neighborhood audiences.
-
T4 faced a narrow brand perception from the public as simply being a functional terminal rather than a gateway cultural hub.
This viewpoint was compounded by a limited public awareness regarding the terminal's active community-driven initiatives and the high-visibility retail opportunities it reserved for local small businesses. -
I developed, design, and executed an experiential selfie station featuring Harlem, Brooklyn, and Queens based entrepreneurs (Project 96, Bag Shop NYC, and Against Medical Advice).
The activation turned a terminal transit space into cultural discovery where passengers could actively interact with local fashion, experience, and lifestyle brands. -
The campaign successfully shifted brand perceptions and generated direct sales increases for the local small businesses by channelling terminal passengers toward each brand's e-commerce website.
By blending the digital followings of local creators with a massive global traveler audience, T4 continued to anchor its status as a preferred gateway terminal while proving its value as a commercial springboard for NYC’s local communities. -
I conceived, developed, and led end-to-end execution for the experiential initiative. Also managed the alignment between experiential design, brand messaging, and terminal operations to meet activation goals.
